Don’t mind the scaffolding, and hopefully you’re not allergic to dust. You’ll have to put up with a few inconveniences for the next few weeks as we get this web site up and running. I think we have most of the bugs worked out. So now it’s just a matter of putting up some high quality content to whet your appetite for the film and keep you coming back for more.
Just to fill you in on our progress, we began principal photography on June 18 and wrapped things up on November 11. I believe we were on the road for about 7 weeks in total. Now Simon Tondeur (editor) and I (Kevin Miller) are hunkered down in our offices (in LA and Abbotsford, BC, respectively) going through all of the footage and making selects in preparation for the rough assembly, which we’ll begin in January.
Want to see what the editing process looks like? Here, take a peek:
Glamorous, isn’t it? Another angle:
For all of you audiophiles out there, those are Beyerdynamic DT770s
I’m wearing (250ohms). I may look like a dork, but they sure sound great. Thanks to our sound man Tom Cassetta for the recommend.
In other news, we met with our investor last week and have laid the groundwork for a distribution strategy that will have us in the driver’s seat. I’ll have more to say about that in the new year, but for now I can say we’re aiming at a theatrical release in mid-September 2012. That sounds like a long ways off, but I already feel like I’m under the gun to get the film finished in time.
I’ll do my best to keep you updated as we go, perhaps even giving you a sneak peak at some footage or at least some stills from the shoot. You’ll also want to keep your eyes out for a teaser trailer in the first quarter of 2012.
Between now and then, feel free to contact us using the strategically small link on the bottom right hand corner of this web site. And don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook and watch us on Youtube-if and when I get around to putting some content up there.
